The commander of the military police in the city of Taiz (south-west) Brigadier Jamal al-Shamiri, on Monday evening, survived an assassination attempt, carried out by unknown gunmen.
A military source said that unknown gunmen fired on the motorcade of Al-Shamiri near the central prison on the road to alDhabab, wounding three of his companions.
The accident also damaged the vehicles of the escorts.
Till the moment, no comment or statement has been made by the military police or local authorities on the case.
Brigadier General Al-Shamiri, who has led the military police since its establishment in the city, has been subjected to numerous assassination attempts over the past two years, but he has survived every time.
