A government official expressed appreciation for Sheikh al-Eisy efforts in supporting national teams

Khaled Saleh Hussein, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, on Tuesday, September 4th, visited the national youth camp in Cairo (Nile Paradise Club & Resort).

The government official reviewed the readiness of the team to participate in the finals of the Asian Cup, which will be held in Malaysia on the twentieth of this month.

In a statement to the official, he expressed his satisfaction about the technical and physical level of the team, as well as his positive participation in the West Asia Championship which was held in Jordan during August.

He pointed to the partnership and cooperation range between the leadership of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represented by Minister Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri and the General Federation of Football, represented by Sheikh Ahmed

Saleh al-Eisy, President of the Federation, in supporting the internal activities and supporting the participation of our national teams.

He added “this successful cooperation resulted in the first national team qualifying for the Asian Cup in the UAE in January, which is the first qualification in the history of Yemeni football. In addition to qualification of the junior team for the finals in Malaysia.

The official also thanked the efforts and support of Sheikh Ahmed Saleh al-Eisy to the national teams, despite the failure to pay the General Federation’s dues from the Youth Fund.

He pointed to the importance of sport in such circumstances. “sport is drawing a big smile and causing a huge joy to the Yemeni people” he added.

The government official added that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is in the process of activating sports through the establishment of many competitions, including the competition of volleyball which is currently held with 18 provinces involving the competitions.
